Mukah incidently was Miss Saw's hometown and she was back to visit her folks when we were there. We had met up with Miss Saw the minute we reached there since she had kindly helped us to book a hotel room. That afternoon, Miss Saw had talem us for a short tour to the local airport and the beach. Mau Wei had decided not to join us as she had wanted to catch up with sleep. I think she missed out one of the most eventful part of our trip to Mukah. No, it was not the Pesta Kaul festival I am talking about. Pesta Kaul is celebrated by the local fishermen to appease the spirits of the sea and is one of the major events of the Melanau calendar and it was already June, the festival at long been over. I am talking about a fascinating local game called the Tibau...
