It was almost evening when we reached Sibu. Situated on the confluence of the Rajang and Igan River,this second largest town in Sarawak is also known as New Foochow as there is a big population of Foochow community here to which the town owns its wealth. I suppose then Jin Jin, Mau Wei's friend and our host in Sibu, is a Chinese of Foochow descent. That night, after helping us checked into our hotel, she took us to a nearby Chinese Restaurant where we had some Foochow dishes.
