Paris, capital city of France, is situated on the River Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Île-de-France region ("Région parisienne"). We had reached Paris at night and had taken a train and later a bus to the apartment at the city suburb which Shah had rented. Like in Amsterdam, it was drizzling when we reached there and had a hard time looking for our accommodation. Luckily for us, the people seemed friendly and were so willing to help. Staying in the apartment was a welcome break from the cheap hostel that we had been staying in Amsterdam. It was just like home and Somsi and the gang had cooked up a storm each day when we were there in Paris enjoying the mild oceanic winter and the various tourist spots like the twelfth century cathedral Notre Dame de Parison the Île de la Cité, the former palace of the Louvre , the nineteenth century Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées ,the Arc de Triomphe centred in the Place de l'Étoile circus ,the Église de la Madeleine.etc. Paris, in spite of winter and its lack of color, the buildings all seemingly white to me, is a beautiful city indeed.
